Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard an Independent Advisor and a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today. I actually have same issue as before and by following the steps provided below fixed my issue, I hope this works for you as well I know some methods are already done, but it it better if you follow this step by step: First method is to reset the Windows update components using the powershell command below.
This method will reset the Software distribution folder where the temporary file of update is saved, and re register internet connect as well. If none will work from the above solution I suggest to do an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files. Bernard Independent Advisor. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to Lester BernardReyes's post on January 3, I can't install 20H2 on a Micron 2GB. I keep getting failed to update. The strange thing is that I cloned this drive to a GB drive and was able to update to 20H2. There seem to be quite a few people who can't upgrade to 20H2.
This is very frustrating! Any additional suggestions would be appreciated. In reply to deleted message. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. I get the following message so am going to wait for a while as it sounds like it might be a problem with the Microsoft Update.
Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: 0x Thanks anyway. By the way the update I couldn't install today is KB 4. I was able to install KB I did try installing the update manually from the catalog but that didn't work either.
I also disabled my virus protection and firewall when trying to install and that didn't work. I ran the update troubleshooter and no issues were found. It seems funny that I could install another update today but not the second one. I also checked for enough space on my laptop and there is plenty.
After running the troubleshooter I sent feedback to Microsoft. Thanks for all your suggestions, and I will get another family member to help me and will let him see your suggestions. He is quite computer knowledgeable. He has degrees in computer engineering.
