Thanks for your input. When I tried it via my component the Joomla interface did not convert the Table data correctly or tidily. The other problem I had was that not all printers could print the PDF output. As you can I am a newbie to this. Which XML file do I add the position?

My issue is similar to others here. I need to have more control over the PDF output I need to generate page breaks at specific points , but the API interface doesn't provide methods for this or other requested functions. Some old documentation had a 'getEngine' method, but that method is no longer around.
Pity, that seems like it would have solved a lot of the issues in accessing all of the parameters of the PDF engine.
