I have access to such yellow dot unit, and the unit shows in monitor mode 6 ignition and 6 injection correction values - which means it is not subaru or WRX tuned considering it is password locked. So who knows what it may mean - firmware flashed from v3. It has been discovered that HKS Japan provide firmware upgrading of v3. Firmware upgrades are possible for a reasonable price 6, Yen in Japan, unknown cost outside of Japan.
Be aware that with new firmware comes with a new password protection system locking the end-user to the tuner. Which is pretty stupid - it is cheaper to do a double firmware upgrade than to pay for a pointless fee, because at the same time, you'll have a freshly reset ECU with the "bonus" of the latest firmware version. HKS v3. It is also specified on the "fcon change" jp , en page - that FCP onwards can be upgrade to "Type A" or "Type B", which is only available on v3.
Very little has changed from v3. For the main connector board, there's quite a few hardware differences between v3. There is now two more jumpers JP10 and JP11 , together with an additional transistor on the bottom left. Also, the ignition output or input? The CPU board is very similar between v3. It is believed even with v3.
Pins: GCC 1 - black - Analog ground. Andre yes you have a point look for better. I agree with newer cars with cam control and so forth there are better options. I love the FCON though. Mohsen do you mind sharing the PW V 3. Anon I saw that info from Ijzmerc I just was interested in scaling the innovate wideband. I bought a cracked software back when i had fcon and now want to get rid of it. Has power writer versions 3. Came with a dongle. I'm the only guy in the east of Saudi to have the software and I find nobody even care to use an fcon.
So it's pretty much useless outside Japan. Only if Andre and Ben are OK with it. I also know a guy who knows a guy who has many for sale. But even that guy told me to keep my tail between my legs and keep quiet or i will invite trouble to all of us. I remember back 2 years ago i paid euros or something to both buy and have it fly by dhl to my city.
